Dehydration can cause a headache, dizziness, sleepiness, lightheadedness, and all of these will contribute to you feeling sluggish, slow, etc.
Drinking water fixes this and your body can get back to its processes. Atop of this, your body needs water for functions, and so if you don’t have that, your normal bodily functions aren’t going to be doing so much because you know, all that “survival” stuff.
