Another question regarding this. But is this forever or only for as long as it’s needed? Like do I have to kiss my previous life goodbye completely? Or just be under protection for a few years or however long it takes for the case to go to trial and to get a verdict?
And let’s say the bad guy gets locked up, can I go back to my previous life and pretend I just went on a long vacation somewhere? Or is it a case of having to pretend for the rest of my life in case of retaliation? Like if the person I’m testifying against is a mob boss or something with connections even from inside of prison.
