How exactly does barometric pressure work in regard to inducing or aggravating joint pain, is it caused by rising/falling pressure or simply high vs low?

If there is a high pressure system parked over you but the pressure is low or average, can this still aggravate joint pain?

Low pressure gives your joints room to expand like ice in a water bottle that expansion is the pain you are talking about

The relationship between weather and joint pain is inconclusive. Some studies show a weak corelation between pain and low pressure, some contradict that. Some show a weak corelation with high pressure, or high humidity, or temperature. It may be that if you have pain and the weather is bad you blame it on the weather, but if the weather is fine, you blame something else (I always blame Mercury in retrograde).
