How exactly does Light pollution affect the ecosystem?

There are many ways, but one that got me shook is concerning sea turtles. Sea turtle eggs are layed on beaches, and hatch at night. The baby turtles use the moonlight over the ocean to guide themselves into the sea to start their little lives. Humans, of course, love building on coast lines. The light pollution from cities and towns confuse the turtle instincts, and instead of following the moon, they follow the much brighter lights from cities. This results in hundreds of thousands of just-hatched sea turtles crossing busy streets at night, and just getting obliterated by traffic. Not to mention that they only have so much energy and are going the wrong way. Chances are most never even make it to the ocean. RIP
