Which World’s Fair? There have been several, the most significant one in terms of impact was probably the one where President McKinley was assassinated, the Pan-American Exposition, aka 1901 World’s Fair. This was the same one that was lit up at night by Thomas Edison, it was said to be so beautiful it made people cry. It was filmed by his company, and you can see footage of it. Because of the assassin, Leon Czolgosz, claiming to be an Anarchist, it did lead to the Anarchist Exclusion Act, the first time an immigrant could be asked a question about their political leanings, and one of the major events that derailed Emma Goldman from that movement, of which she was a rising star.
