I noticed on YouTube sometimes for car reviews they do a sound system test, sometimes even comparing two sound systems in one car or more. I do think they sound slightly different, but is this really giving an accurate reflection of the sound system? From my understanding the quality of a sound system depends on how it’s built or something, so if for example I was listening to a sound system of a car through a YouTube video through the headphones I have on, aren’t I really just listening to how well the recording device used picks up sound, and how well my headphones relay that sound to me?

>How is it possible to accurately hear what a car audio system sounds like through a YouTube video?
* It’s not.
* Sound is influenced by many things including the shape of the room it’s being played in and also where you are in that room.
* Cars have really weird shapes compared to a normal room.
* So not only will it sound different via YouTube, it will also sound different depending on which seat you’re sitting in, in the car.
