I noticed on YouTube sometimes for car reviews they do a sound system test, sometimes even comparing two sound systems in one car or more. I do think they sound slightly different, but is this really giving an accurate reflection of the sound system? From my understanding the quality of a sound system depends on how it’s built or something, so if for example I was listening to a sound system of a car through a YouTube video through the headphones I have on, aren’t I really just listening to how well the recording device used picks up sound, and how well my headphones relay that sound to me?

There was someone on YouTube recently reviewing speakers and doing a comparison. Absolutely hilarious as there’s no way you can get an indication of the differing sound quality this way. Just think of all the variables in systems.
