It can take subtle forms as well. Quite often the message is not even too clear on only “suggests” an idea, instead of formuling it properly.

For example, ads for car brands such as audi tend to suggest those cars are for powerful men, and that with those beautiful cars, come beautiful women. None of this is peoperly said, but the whole aestaetics of the ads and the story it tells, tend to put this idea of power in your mind.

When something specific is the the background across multiple instances, we see it but don’t pay much attention to it. Over time with more exposure you’re more inclined to think well of that thing because of other experiences you’ve had while it’s present. This is partly why companies will pay so much for their products to be placed or mentioned in media.
