Your eye is only able to focus on about 6° or 7° degrees, which is where you would read the subtitles. The rest of your field of view is peripheral vision–about 100° vertically and 120° horizontally.

It’s not, in fact there is actually no such thing as multitasking. Your brain can only concentrate on one task at a time. What we perceive as multitasking is actually just our brain bouncing back and forth between tasks quickly.
