Mount Everest snow isn’t “descend from the clouds in gentle Christmas snowfall” type of snow. It’s basically layers of frost on top of more layers of frost on top of more layers of frost, where the moisture freezes out of the air directly onto the ground, without drifting down from on high first. No clouds required.
