How is water processed in our body ?

If water goes from the esophagus to stomach to intestines and out what’s the point of the kidneys I believed water went straight to kidneys and then intestines. And if it goes to stomach first how does our body separate stomach acid from liquids before sending liquids to intestines and bladder ?

Water is absorbed through the intestines. Kidneys filter blood, Eric is mostly water. One of the biggest reasons to drink lots of water is to keep the bowels moving without constipation.

Water does enter through the esophagus into the stomach. This water is mixed with food and stomach acid to make a paste called **chyme.** This chyme is super acidic like you’ve mentioned. The gall bladder deals with this by adding a liquid that’s sort of like baking soda. This tames the acidity of the stomach acid/food/water combo.

Then, this enters the intestine. It’s at this point that the water is collected again. The chyme has a LOT of water, and the cells of the intestine specifically pump a bunch of other stuff into themselves so that they *don’t* have a lot of water. This causes the cells to absorb water.

This water then enters the blood. The blood is what is sent through the kidneys. The kidneys are essentially the custodian of the body. They remove any waste and extra water from the blood. These kidneys are connected to the bladder, where they send all the waste and water. That is what you pee out.
