If you are on field searching for a specific insect, you bring antidotes for the species you are looking and common insects in the area that might cause a problem.
You use extensions such as tweezers with silicon tips or butterfly nets and containers such as cups with strongly attached lids on.
When you are in lab you wear proper protection gear that can include full body suits, gloves and glasses etc. Still use extensions such as tweezers and keep the antidote nearby just in case everything goes wrong.
Tho it usually never gets there if you respect the danger and follow protocols.
