Well, from what i can understand, they don’t simply use a dimmer or variable resistor because that would just regulate the amount the current going through the iron’s resistance, and thus it’s power, or amount of heat it would be able to deliver. Do they control the temperature by adjusting the voltage that is going to it? Sorry if i said something dumb here. Thanks!
