Nuclear bombs are really strong bombs but they aren’t infinite power magic like movies make them. you Can just set up a little farther away and zoom in.

Mirrors. They had the cameras in a shielded container, and then had a mirror in front of them at an angle so that they could see the explosion in the mirror. The mirror would reflect visible light, but the high energy x-rays and gamma would go right through them. Also, filters to ensure the visible light didn’t way overexpose the film.
