I always hear since 10 years about new amazing batteries being invented, but in the end my iPhone battery today still holds only up for a day, why, where is the innovation getting lost?

I am really wondering. so many technologies that i always used to hear about, but they never end up in new phones and stuff

You can get phones that last days. Just not from the big manufacturers. They’re making big screens and light phones. That means smaller batteries to save weight and keep them thin. They make them just big enough to last the average person the day. Cheaper to build and lighter to carry around.
