So just got a SSD for my PS5. I am very much enjoying the extra storage for all my games, but isn’t it also supposed to make my games load lightning fast or something like that? Like, I have tired several games now on the SSD and I have noticed basically no difference. Also, I should point out most of them are PS4 games and maybe do not gain the benefit of being on the SSD But even then, my PS5 games also load about the same time as well. What am I missing?

Playstation consoles already ship with an internal solid state drive rather than mechanical hard drives as found on the PS4 generation.

That’s why there isn’t a drastic performance difference for using external media
