It costs more. You’d need to use more material to make a larger garment and then add a step to shrink it before selling. That’s expensive, so many manufacturers don’t bother.

As a buyer, you could estimate how many sizes up you’d need to go to get one that would shrink to your size and then do it yourself, but that leaves room for error
