Some people have mentioned flies and other insects being able to basically put their bodies on pause when their internal temperatures drop to low.

But also, in winter it’s not cold everywhere. And those flies that are just warm enough to stay active spread when things heat up.

they can’t even survive a whole month let alone a winter, they just lay eggs, and the eggs “wait”also they don’t have a big enough lifespan for emigration to even be an option
