Unless the hair is actually growing what is the benefit of a wig that is attached surgically? I think it doesn’t exist because a regular wig does the job with almost no risk, and the rewards of a more permanent way to attach the wig are not worth the risk.

Isn’t that exactly what getting plugs is?

They could do it the way some piercings are made. Where they put a piece inside you and that part has a bit where you can then literally screw in the piercing.

Friend of mine has/had a piercing like that in her teen. So why not something similar for wigs?

We already put screws in skulls so not much of a change in the screw department only what they are used for.

Honestly, can’t we just go bald gracefully and accept it?

Asking as my hair disappears day by day.

It is physically possible to do something like that, but it’s better to have surgery in order to just get a hair transplant because a surgically attached wig is just way more cumbersome for no reason. Plus, with hair transplants you feel like you’re actually growing hair, whereas having to wear a wig, surgery or not, still has that sense of internal shame and annoyance, which is why most people don’t like balding in the first place. Put simply, it’s impractical.

No done in a single motion, but capilar insertions (basically stiching an hair in your head) exist and are very common.

I had this funky idea where you grow your hair out when you’re young and make a toupee out of that. Hair insurance, you don’t know you want it until you need it.

hair and teeth grow like plants. we don’t have hair seeds to replant them nor roots we can put there that would work in the same way. analogies are comparisons, a simile uses the words “like” or “as”, where as a direct metaphors let’s the audience infer the meaning. “I was a comet.” is figurative but not a simile.

Just high jacking this post to see if anyone knowledgeable here can answer the opposite question:

Is there a way to accelerate the balding? Is laser hair removal the only way?

As someone whose been balding since my early twenties, I really don’t care about being bald but it’s the halfway look that sucks and daily head shaving is a PITA. Thoughts?
