No, because if you do 50 squats once a day, you will raise your heart rate and sustain a higher heart rate for a longer time as your do the squats. This will condition your heart as you work in a specific heart rate zone.
Doing 10 squats might raise your heart rate, but not as high and not for as long.
So in terms of your butt and leg muscles, it might be the same, but in terms of aerobic fitness you are not getting the same level of training for your heart (and lungs?)
Here’s a quick google on heart rate zones;

Hmmm, I have seen many answers but something is missing from here.
First of all, it’s better if you do 10 squats 5 times, the human body flourishes with movement and excercise and being stagnant it’s not really healthy for the body. If you do 50 squats and remain the rest of the day stationary it’s not good. The ideal case scenario is doing 1 squat 50 times.
Forcing yourself to do 50 squats from 0 it’s not healthy as you put a lot of strain for your body without a base and leads to manageable or more serious injuries.
There is a thresholds in the heart beats per minute above which your body “dedicates itself” to do other things like improve red globes creation, instead of muscle creation.
Having a lot of red globes in your blood stream is normally considered better for health than having a lot of muscle (not always, i.e fighting a wolf in a cage)
Continued physical activity, combined with healthy diet (no eating microplastics or drink cigarettes or smoke lead like those youngsters around) good rest, (and Oxford’s commas) and good postures will do better for you than most of the things out there (except money probably)
Overall doing any excercise is good in moderation, and cardio will be better overall than weight lifting (except wolf scenario)
