If most bodies of water are filthy with poor visibility under just a few feet, how are fish and sealife able to see where they are going and what they are doing?

I don’t mean very deep sea life which have lights and stuff, I just mean regular sea life that swims about in filthy water.

Fish can detect movement with their lateral line. Also Fish dont have human eyes, they evolved to see whats important and in different conditions.

Just because we perceive a need to ‘see’ things as very important, doesn’t mean other animals do also.

The simple answer is, they don’t need to ‘see’, and have other means of perception; echolocation, sensitive whiskers that detect vibrations in the water, good sense of smell, etc.
