If Pandora released all evils when she opened the jar, and only hope remained inside, doesn’t that mean the world is essentially hopeless?

In the myth of Pandora, she opens the jar filled with evils given to her by the Greek gods. Hesiod says only hope remained inside when the jar was closed. Since mankind didn’t know of these evils before she opened the jar, doesn’t that mean that there’s no hope?

>>According to Hesiod, Zeus willed that Hope should stay inside because he wanted mortals to suffer in order to understand that they should not disobey their gods.
