If you’re talking about actual edge distortion – You can, and some phones have options to apply distortion control to help compensate for this.

If you’re talking about general distortion (such as objects not really appearing the same shape as with a different lens or in the mirror) – this is the result of the focal length of the lens and not really something you can compensate for.
