If silver is the best conductor of electricity, why is gold used in electronics instead?

Fun fact: The boards you use that have gold contacts, use a copper layer for the traces (all the lines), since we don’t have to worry about air corrosion there and copper has a higher conductivity. The reason for using copper over silver is a cost/benefit ratio.
