If something important is happening tomorrow and I know that I need to get up early, I tell myself that I need to get up early and generally I end up waking up before my alarm, why is that?

I don’t know if this is a relatable thing or not, just something I’ve noticed happen to me.

Because when you dream your brain just makes up scenarios that might be possible (very far fetched ofc). And when you think about this thing that you need to do in the morning while falling asleep you are likely to dream about it and also have a less quiet/more aware kind of sleep… like sometimes you are semi awake and aware in the middle of the night and maybe turn around and keep sleeping but dont even really remember it the next day, sometimes you realise that you in fact ARE aware of whats happening and maybe wake up. And if you are already dreaming about this thing you are more likely to actually open your eyes and wake up instead of turning and not even memorizing it in the morning
