The contents of ejaculation isn’t just sperm, it’s seminal fluid, sperm, and other small contributions of fluids. Sperm cells are found within the liquid. Around 10% of ejaculate content is actually sperm cells.

Because ejaculate is a mix of semen and sperm. The semen’s purpose is to sterilize and to change the pH of the environment around them as the vagina is acidic. The sperm themselves are small enough they would not seem hairy when put together.
