Hormones dude. Adrenaline and cortisol are both responsible for fight or flight and they are the hormones involved in response.
Anger is triggered by the brain, which releases those hormones, which escalates the anger. If you are not careful, you end up with a positive feedback loop which can result in rage. Learning to control anger is a important life skill. Otherwise, we’d all just kill each other whenever we get angry.
