Just read a bit about the massive subsidies the fossil fuels industry receives in the U.S and I was confused. Aren’t these companies one of the most profitable ones in the U.S?
Because why not? At a certain point business can drive some regulations. At the point they’re at it’s just a line item on budget, it’s just for more profit. If you could do it you would. They can double dip so they do.
