If we’re supposedly training AIs to recognize cars, busses, etc. by filling in CAPTCHAs, how come we are still teaching them the same stuff as 10 years ago? Shouldn’t the images have gotten harder or more sophisticated, to reflect the AIs increasing ability to recognize objects?

As far as I can tell because they still can’t decide when if a millimeter of a traffic light is in another box whether it counts or not lol.

I got one recently that was like “pick only airplanes that are in flight”. It was really neat.
