If we’re warned by doctor’s, and even by the warning label on the box not to put qtips in our ears because of possible damage, then why do qtips feel so damn good in them, and why is it so hard to stop once you start?

I recommend watching wax removal videos on YouTube. Those guys can tell if you’ve been using QTips, because the wax gets shoved down the ear canal, sometimes right up against the eardrum. QTips leave a dent in the top. Don’t bother lying to them.
Most of the time, you actually need earwax. It’s there to protect your eardrum and beyond. There’s a little conveyer belt system that carries the earwax and dead skin up to the top and out of the body. If you’re the kind of person who gets a lot of earwax or has hearing aids, you might need help. Personally, I wipe with a washcloth, and I admit it, sometimes use a QTip, but only at the very entrance. Otherwise, I leave it alone.
