I know a guy at work that instead of swallowing an aspirin tablet with water, he just used his saliva cuz he didnt have a drink on hand. The pill didnt go all the way down and it started burning a hole in is esophagus. He ended up going to the hospital for it. He eventually healed but said it was the better part of a month before he could swallow without pain.
