If you can pull money out of almost any ATM why can you not deposit money into almost any ATM?

Let me add employees at stores that are not your bank can’t help you with any problems you have with the atm so I’d imagine the ones you can deposit money in cause more issues so they only have them at banks where they can help you with any issues you have.
