– If you’re warm and comfortable when going to bed, why is it so cold in the morning when the room is the same temperature?

When it’s the cold season, I keep my thermostat for my room at the same temperature all the time. It’s usually warm and comfy when I go to sleep (Though if I wake up in the middle of the night it’s always too warm). If it’s at the same temperature while I feel warm when going to bed, why would it be so cold in the morning?

Because your core body temperature drops a little bit when you’re asleep, so you’ll feel cold in the morning until your temperature comes back up to normal. This is a normal part of the wind down as your body shifts to its regenerative metabolic processes during sleep.
