Importance of Tyre pressure

Hey I want to know the significance of Tyre pressure. I have studied somewhere when Tyre has low pressure it comes under compression as contact area is greater. I am not able to understand this.

Look at [https://www.snowys.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Tyre-pressure.jpg](https://www.snowys.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Tyre-pressure.jpg) to see how a car tire ger shaped if correct, too low or too high.

To low pressure and the weight of the car deform the tire more, the deformation requires energy so the rolling resistance is increased. It also results in wear of the outer part that is in contact with the road.

To high pressure and it starts to deform the tire to be more spherical and the contact area will be in the middle and you the wear is increased ther.

You like to have contact with the whole tire on the road.

What is the correct pressure depending on the tires and the weight of the car?

With the right pressure, you reduce fuel consumption and decrease the wear of the tires.

The air in the tires is also an important part of the suspension system so high pressure will result in more vibration and bumps getting transferred to the car.

On never surfaces especially for material that moves like sand you get more grip with lower air pressure. As a result, pressure is sometimes lowered in conditions like that and increases when driving on har roads. Automatic system, that you can control when you drive to exist and is common in military wheeled whales that need to go offroad or civilian vehicles that are used offroad.
