How do these two things used to correct our vision differ in their working mechanism to achieve better vision?

They both operate under the same basic concept – both are a lens, that distorts and/or magnifies light coming into your eyes so that it focuses onto your retina properly.

The difference is that glasses are a few cm away from your eyeballs, and contacts are directly on your eyeballs.
