Is it actually bad to wake up abruptly to an alarm clock?

Today I installed a new alarm app to help my snooze-addiction. It worked, because it used loud sounds that woke me up instantly and abruptly and I needed to get out of bed to turn them off. I noticed that the sudden loud alarm sound got my heartrate up like crazy. Is it bad for my health? Thanks.

Natural alarm clocks: daylight and water. Daylight is a circadian rhythm indicator. You can drink some water before bed to help get you up and out of bed. Indigenous warriors used the water trick to wake before dawn to go on pre dawn raids.

Yep alarms are physically stressful on your body. Some sleep experts thing it’s bad, but I’m not sure how bad it is. They recommend against using the snooze button, since you are getting multiple stressful events in the morning.

I think the bigger issue with alarms is that by definition they wake you up when you need more sleep. You should just go to sleep early enough and let your body wake you up naturally after you’ve had enough sleep.
