It’s as safe as the device and person on either side
If you trust the other side and that they keep their phone safe then it’s not a huge risk
Technically yes, in practice you shouldn’t divulge your credit card info/bank credentials/etc. even to your bestest friend. Send them money with revolut, venmo, paypal, whatever service instead.
