Moderators are like referees in sports, without them nobody plays by the rules and that’s not really fun and potentially even dangerous!
ELI5 is like a club where a bunch of people can get together and discuss complex topics in simple terms, thus “Explain Like I’m 5”. But clubs have people in charge, moderators, which make sure the club keeps running smoothly.
