Is my data ultimately safer withApple thank other companies?

I know nothing about cyber security, but the other day I was looking for a decent home set up with cameras, but I wanna make sure that all the information and footage is safe and not accessible to hackers or being recorded onto company servers and it got me wondering if Apple is actually safer and more trustworthy with your data and other companies like Google, Amazon, Blink, Eufy, etc..?
For example, the Apple HomePod versus Amazon’s Alexa or if one day, Apple came out with their own security cameras, would there be a precedent of the data being more secure and safe with Apple?
At the end of the day, however I know they’re a company and therefore not 100% trustable, but with Apple is it as good as it gets?
