I’m curious, is the heating in a electric car instantly warm? Seeing as there’s no waiting for the engine to heat up.

Better electric cars use heat pumps. I don’t know if they’re slower (I assume they are).

Yes largely. I am in Canada and have been driving BEVSs for 9 years now. The almost instant heat is one of the reasons I call BEVs the best winter cars I have ever owned.
