It makes sense that high power cell towers can reach cell phones. How do cell phones send signals back to towers?

Think of an antenna as both the mouth *and* the ear. The cell tower has a big antenna, so it can shout at your phone with it’s big ol mouth, and when your phone whispers it’s response, the cell tower hears it with it’s big ol ear.
