How do they float? I mean, if it grows, after some time it is bound to sink. Does it sink or does it break off when pressure gets too high?

Can a person survive on an iceberg, suppose after a crash or being afloat in water for a long time?

Icebergs do not grow, they break off from polar ice masses and glaciers. Ice floats because it is less dense than liquid water, so it will float no matter the size. They eventually melt with time or when they drift to warmer waters, and vary wildly in size.

Glaciers themlseves grow on land due to the accumulation of snow, and over many years slowly slide or deform themselves until they reach the water, where the now unsupported ends break off and form icebergs. Iceberg size varies, but they always float regardless of size because ice itself is less dense than water. In exact numbers, iceberg ice density is 917 Kg/m³ while sea water is 1025 Kg/m³. With some very simple math we can figure out what percentage of an iceberg is submerged. (917/1025)*100 = 89.5%. Therefore, the part of the iceberg we do see is 10.5% of the total volume.
I think you’d struggle to survive on an iceberg. Even though there’s practically unlimited water, you won’t find anything else on it. No food, no shelter, no twigs to start a fire. The cold would probably be the first thing to kill you.
