City of Sydney poles are made of hollow aluminium—and they’re award-winning.
In 1997, City of Sydney developed the first [multi-functional light poles](https://hub-group.com/products/smartpole/). The poles are modular: you can add on traffic lights, street lights, cameras, speakers, street and parking signs, flags, etc. If one part is damaged, it can be replaced without needing to replace the whole pole. Because they’re made of aluminium, they’re recyclable, and they’re lighter to transport and install, while still being impact resistant.
The design is sold nationally and internationally.
