Polarized vs Non-Polarized sunglasses

Question

I’ve had like 12 people explain this to me and have absolutely no idea what polarized glasses are or why they’re so special.

I see explanations, which are awesome, but the short of it, the same tint will have WAY less glare if polarized. That is the selling point.
