premillennialism vs amillennialism vs postmillennialism?

These are three interpretations of the concept of the Millenium in rhe Book of Recelation, relating to Christ’s Second Coming and his reign of 1000 years.

Premillenialism asserts that Christ will return physically to the Earth and rule for 1000 literal years.

Amillenialism asserts that Christ’s reign occurs on Heaven and that the 1000 years is not literal but simply an indeterminate long period before the Second Coming. In this interpretation, the Millenium is already happening in Heaven and does not occur on Earth.

Postmillenialism asserts that Christ established his reign on Earth after his Resurrection and he reigns through the church, and Christ will return after at the end of the Millenium. This is similar to amillenialism in many ways but agrees with premillenialism that the Millenium occurs on Earth, albeit without Christ physically here and directly reigning. It refers to a period when the church becomes universally or nearly universally followed, after which Christ returns.
