What you mean like how some speakers might do bass very well or something?

Pretty much everything has resonant frequencies and all that, and the size, shape, material, etc. of the speaker will determine what kind of frequencies it responds to better than others. Since it is very difficult if not impossible to achieve a flat response curve, this is also why high-end audio separates the signal into subwoofers, woofers, tweeters, super tweeters, etc. They design and pick speakers that work very well within a certain frequency range in particular and then send just that part of the signal to them. This way, while each individual component has biased responses, you can get an overall flatter curve as a whole which produces more accurate audio.
