Shouldn’t we be putting HEPA filters on every air conditioner and heater? Don’t HEPA filters take viruses out of the air?

The cost and constant replacing of filters is too difficult or too costly for average people. It may be easier upkeep to simply use a humidifier or air washer. Having moisture in the air can help with making the particles in the air sink to make cleanup easier. E.,g I have allergies and dedicated carbon and HEPA filter fan free standing in my room yet use the Venta LW45W which makes disposal of the pollen and particles much easier than replacing a filter, and also seems to cut down on the dust in the air.
