When you sleep on your arm, you’re putting a good amount of pressure on it. This squeezes the blood vessels inside, which means the nerves and muscles get less blood than they should. They basically “fall asleep” as they shut down to preserve themselves. Once you shift your weight off the arm, the blood rushes back in, and so the nerves wake up again, which is what causes the weird tingling and pinpricks – that’s literally your nerves turning on.

Then the arm won’t get enougth oxygen for muscles to work. i dont think it’s dangerous, but for a while the muscles dont have enough energy to work

(they created energy (ATP) by using oxygen and food)
