Why do most sports bras have removable padding?

My wife has been looking for a sports bra without the removable padding. If you find one post it.
Because in addition to providing support, bras also stop the outline of your nipples from being visible through your clothes. If you have massive nipples like me, you need a decent amount of padding.
Finally someone asking the real questions. So tired of finding rogue bra pads in the wash and wish they were sewn in. They are so hard to put back in right!
