I’m in my philosophy class and am having problems understanding the differences between Hobbes and Locke. Can someone explain the differences between their thinking?

State of Nature means if there wasn’t society, what would human behavior look like.
IE if society wasn’t telling people how to act, how would they act?
Hobbes believed that without society, humans would be assholes to each other.
So society needed to be setup to stop them from being assholes.
Locke believed that without society, humans would be nice to each other.
So society needed to be setup to allow them to be nice to each other.
